Walking Canvas III - The Avatar as Art in Second Life

If you go to Fisherman's Wharf and wander through the build that brings us the famous City by the Bay you will find, tucked in the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Museum of Contemporary Art.

This is a very good time to visit "SOMA" if you aren't already familiar with it because the current show, Walking Canvas III - The Avatar as Art, is fabulous. Each piece is accompanied by a short essay written by the artist and all of them are personal and will strike a matching chord in your own avatar's soul.

I felt doubly lucky at this show. Not only does it include some of my favourite artists but it also introduced me to talent I didn't recognize but will now follow.

This museum is a great space for displaying art and deserves room in your permanent landmark folder. I also strongly recommend that you spend time contemplating the show you've seen while walking through the surrounding area (moderate maturity rating). A visit to San Francisco is always worthwhile. :)
